Need Help printing leading Zero's 1

I'm a new user and I'm having trouble getting Crystal Reports to print out leading zeros, for example 0042. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Use Totext({num_filed},"0000") to return a 4 long number

See Article ID: c2005609 in the Crystal Reports Knowledgebase.....This uses formulas to set the length of your field and uses "replicatestring" function to append any character to the front or end of the data....
