Need help on setting vmware

Hi all,

I am entirely new to solaris and vmware. I installed vmware in my laptop. created a new virtual machine for solaris 10 64 bit OS. I can able to connect to internet from my Vista. But how can I configure my Vmware solaris to connect to internet and I should able to telnet or ping from vista to vmware Solaris and reverse manner.

Can someone help me out?
Any help would be much appreciated?

Make sure the network connection of the Solaris virtual machine is bridged.
This connects the virtual machine directly to the network.

Whenever I start the solaris in vmware I get the following error:

"The network bridge on device VMnet0 is temporarily down because bridged Ethernet interface is down"

Usually I am connected to internet from vista via wireless. But I use cable some times.

when installing solaris in vmware I dont know how I configured network. I mean I dont know whether I kept in Bridged, host-only etc.,

After your reply I changed to bridged connection.

Any idea??
