Need help on downloading programs

I am new to redhat and I am having problems downloading programs. I am trying to upgrade mozilla to fire fox. I can save thr program, but I can not figure out how to run it. The folder where it is saved is in home and I can get to it, but that is about it. Any help that anyone can give would be great.

Did you get the installer version of the tar archive version? If got the tar archive (recommended), just un-tar the archive to a location of your liking and run the file firefox. If it doesn't run, make sure that the firefox script had execute permission.
