Need help on CR8 line chart

Hello all.
I have a question regarding making a line chart in CR8
1) I have a line graph that plots the # of support calls received vs. Quarter 1, Quarter 2, etc. of a year
The date field fld_Date is used on the X-axis and the count of occurences of fld_supportcallID is used on X. The chart works just fine, except I cant seem to get it to plot on Quarter (cant find any formula editor in the Chart Expert). It plots each date.
How can this be rectified?

have you tried grouping your dates by quarter?

That did not work when it came to the chart.

what i was wondeirng is, if you grouped your data by the date, then maybe there would be an option for "count({calls},{grp1 header])" that you could maybe use...

That didnt work. I created groups, based on quarter, and the graph draws the line graph properly, except the dates are out of order (ie, Q1 2002 comes after Q4 2002, etc.)

thats weird... make sure your grouping is set to list in a specified order and see if that helps...

Go into the Change Group editor, select your group, and options, and change it to specified order.
