I am currently working on a revenue analysis and I would like to be able to create a clustered column chart that is also stacked. I would like to compare over twelve months Actual 2001 with Budget and Actual 2000 (ie. the clustered bit), and within these categories I would like to show how much of the total revenue is made up of new business and how much of renewal commission - (ie. the stacked bit). I cannot see how one could do it.
Another thing that really annoys me about Excel 97 that I would appreciate knowing about is whether you can pick which form you would like a data strand to take. This is with reference to Columns/Lines on 2 Axis custom charts - how can you effectively say all data logged on Axis Y1 should be a bar and that logged on Axis Y2 a line.
I doubt it's possible, but I would love to tell Microsoft to sort it out if they haven't already with versions coming after 1997 (unfortunately I am working with an office PC and have no control over this)!
