I have an old Compaq Proliant ML350 running Windows 2000 and it is a member server in an NT 4 domain. I need to replace the Proliant with a new Dell Poweredge 1600SC. Same server name, etc. I use Veritas Backup Exec 8.6. Does anyone have a step by step instructions on how to move Win2000 to different hardware? No active directory involved or domain controllers. Thanks.

Load the OS, add it to the domain, install any apps you need, move the data to the new server, set up shares to match the ones on the old server, take the old machine off of the network, remove its account from the domain, rename the new server to match the name of the old server, set the new server's ip address to that of the old server.
