Hi,

I'm told there is a means within SQL Server 7.0 & 6.5 to change the error message levels. Currently, within the "ERRORLOG" file, there is mostly informational messages (i.e. SQL Server was started, Starting Backup of Database Northwind, so on and so forth). I would like the "ERRORLOG" file to contain only failures and critical errors. Is it possible to do this? If so, HOW?

Thanks in advance,
Mark.

As far as I am aware you can only configure whether or not an error message is written to the NT Event Log, not the SQL Error Log.
