Does anyone know how to make an SCO Unix Openserver 5.0.5 an FTP server? Someone told me I need an FTPD daemon but I am very new to Unix and I dont even know what that means, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. If you reply, please keep in mind that I know absolutly nothing about Unix.

You must have tcp installed and configured.
Then, as usual: man ftpd

Hope This Helps, PH.

FTP should be enabled on that system by default. If the server will be available from the Internet, you should seek help to make it secure. Are you looking to enable "Anonymous FTP"?

Thanks PHV and motoslide for responding to this thread. Its weird as soon as I entered man ftpd and it went through displaying all the information, it suddenly started working and I was able to access all the files in Windows using Hummingbird FTP, thanks a lot guys.
