NEED HELP.....IP Address

I have a PC that has been given an IP Adress by the DHCP Server, when i try to ping it using the -a switch, it gives me the name of a totally different computer.

How can i force the other copmuter to get a differnt IP Address, i'f tried the release and renew but it just gives it the same IP Address.

This is a Windows 98 machine

You need to force the wins server to update it's cache. You have a valid ip address, some wins servers can take a while to catch up!
