need help in relationship tables

I have been trying to do this for about 8 months and about readyu to give it up.

I have a invoiceing database that nneds updating. Currently I enter the Item Number, then quantity, the type in the product description, and enter the price per unit.

I want to enter only the item number, and the quanity, and have the database automatically enter the item description and price per unit according to the item number.

How can this be done?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
