need help in freezing the tcl/tk app when backend process is ongoing

we are developing GUI. we need to freeze the main window "." when back end procedure is going on. we also need not to wait for the response from the user, just destroy the waiting dialog box when process is over. can anyone please help me out on this. any kind of help will be appriciated. Thanks in advance

Generally, all processing is halted when you launch a proc. That said, what do you mean by "freeze"? Perhaps you could post a bit of the code does what you don't want, and explain what you do want.
