I am building a database where teachers can put in information about students. So I have to ensure that it is user friendly. Here are my questions:

1. How do I set up the fields so the teachers can tab to each field after inputting information?
2. How do I lock out the scroll bar on the mouse? If they use the scroll bar the record changes to another one.
3. How do I make the default color for text black? Everytime I go in to test the site, my text starts out in white.
4. When in fine how do I give the teachers an easy access to return to the beginning of the database? I guess what I mean is, how to they get out of find and back to being able to start a new record other than hitting new record.

A lot of questions I know. Thank you in advance.

tabs: in layout mode go to layout across the top and choose set tab order.
scroll bar: cant help you on that one i dont know if that is possible to do in file maker.

fonts: not sure about making black default but if you highlight all the fields when you are completed and go to format text color it will do it.

to get out of find mode: you can insert a button set it size and when the window comes up to define what you want the button to do go to sort/find/print and choose "show all records" that will return you to the main screen.

sorry i couldnt have been more help but there alot of very talented people here that im sure will have all your answeres for you.
