I have a Adobe IIIustrator 9.0, i need to create a banner for my company website. Can anyone tell me how to create banner e.g. in this tek-tips forum how to create banner like above "DO U Like This Site? Click here to help keep it free" Can Adobe IIIustrator 9.0 do it? or i need an extra software??? Please advice???

I know Flash 5 can do it, but any other software can do it?

Thanks in advance

Edward

Illustrator can export GIF images in the 'File>Save for Web' panel.

If you want the banner to be animated, you can download a freeware GIF animator from a site like webattack.com to assemble the frames in a GIF animation.

Thanks jimoblak, i already download the software and it really work. Thanks a lot jimoblak.

No matter what software you use: if you enlarge a bitmap image, it will blur.

Thanks jimoblak for your replay , but i still have one question

1)How to create a banner e.g. The banner is
"Posibble made Practical". Can anyone help me. I need to create a web site for my company. I have adobe IIIustrator 9.0. Do i need to purchase any other graphic tools???....

Thanks in advance

Edward

File>Place //locate a picture of business folk
Select text tool //type 'possible made practical'
File>Save for Web //Save as a GIF

While this can easily be done in Illustrator, I would recommend creating web graphics in a bitmap image editor (like Photoshop or GIMP). I recommend GIMP because it is free and perfectly suited for your application. You can read about GIMP at gimp.org. A Windows version is available at:
A Mac OSX version is also available through 'Fink' (sourceforge.net).
