need help getting started - easy qustion iis/xp prr as.net

xp pro iis. I have no access to my default website from my browse

I installed IIS on xp pro.

then I go into Mozilla and type

http://localhost/

and hit enter

I get prompted login and password and I put and I put it in and says it is not right. which login and password is it looking for???

Couple of checks...

uncheck digest and basic and IWA authentication in your default website properties. Ensure Anonymous is allowed and set to IUSR_MachineNameHere

I worked without having to make anycchanges, I went ti the security direcroy tab as you said and it was alreAdy set as you said.
the problem was I was using Mozilla browser. U know how to make so Mozilla browser will not be prompted for logon and password if Ananymous access is avasilable?
