Need Help Generating a Word Document on Server

I'm trying to generate a Word document in real-time by launching Word via a ASP page. I know there are MANY issues with running Word as a server-side component and I'm looking for alternatives. Anyone out there ever done this type of thing before?

Must it be Word, or will RTF output work? I'm assuming you want to stream it back to the browser to be displayed by Word/WordViewer, but maybe you want to save the document at the server too?

Microsoft really REALLY recommends you not invoke Office components on the server. People do it anyway, though they end up with server lockups and Office popups unless they get really lucky. Sooner or later they get burned.
