Ok, I've just been givin the job to make a CSS for all of our office pages...

It is supposed to be applied to all the pages to give them a little bounce...well, I dont know how to do anything with CSS...I've learned flash in a week or two, so now I need to learn CSS...can anyone help me?

(People here think I know everything...so I gotta learn it quickly...so far I've been doing good...for a 17 year old...lol)

download the trial version to Bradbury's TopStyle. If you are a hands-on type of learner, it can teach you pretty much anything you need to know while you are creating the css. "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission." - Rear Admiral Dr. Grace Hopper

Thank you guys!, I found it out pretty much...from what I can tell CSS sets properties of ALL tags, and you can set classes within tags which demote certian properties...

I know now why I was given the assignment...I need to make it so we can change all of the pages in our intranet to a certian style on the fly. I've pretty much gotten it down, but when I was doing classes, I make everything rainbow colors so I can seperate what is what...

What tricks and stuff can you do with CSS?? When life gives you lemons...throw them back and get the oranges you ordered! :-Q

Tricks and stuff? There's a whole new world for you to learn. CSS sort of breaks html wide open and gives you flexibility you've only dreamed of.

Either get a good book that lists al the elements, print out a list from the web or download TopStyle.

I'll give you one. You can simulate rollovers without using javascript. You can make links change color, etc on a rollover by simply adding properties to the A element (A:Hover, etc).

Take that concept further... I have actually setup one template but changed the look and feel using a CSS. Here's the cool thing, I could change the CSS on the fly by adding buttons, so users could customize their experience or clients could 'pick and choose'.

Color the scrollbar.

Beware compatibility!! I recommend using TopStyle to sort of test browser compatibility. Try it, you'll see what I mean instantly.

Too many things to suggest... ;) "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission." - Rear Admiral Dr. Grace Hopper
