Need help entering project

Hello. I am trying to learn how to use MS Project but am a bit confused as to it's implementation. I've been trying to enter in a sample project, but with little success. It doesn't seem to enter in the way I thought it would. Can anyone lend any advice? If so, I can lend you my sample project.

You ask way, way, way too much. Fortunately, we are here to help you.

Or, at least, the Project staff are here to help.

In P98 use the Help function to look for the project map which takes you step by step through the process.

In P2000+ display the Project Guide which does the same thing with greater handholding.

Word of warning: Project is an incredibly powerful piece of software. Think about how long it took you to learn to use Word fully -- and Word is a very simple, very limited program: it merely lets you enter text and then reformat it. The complexities and power in Project leave Word in the beginners category.
