We are running groupwise 5.5 at our school and I would like to use a seperate email program to send and receive email via the internet. The program requires POP3 and SMTP addresses and out systems people dont want to cooperate. Is there a way that I can determine what my POP3 and SMTP addresses are myself, so I can use my other email program.

klh -

If you right-click on an email received within GroupWise, go to properties you should find what your looking for. Usually, it will state: mail.yourmaindomain.com or pop3.mail.yourmaindomain.com

SMTP - may be the exact same: mail.yourmaindomain.com

Keep in mind - if you download Eudora, Outlook, Pegasus or other email clients, and your PO isn't setup to handle specific types of email, [[or your systems people have filters\restrictions setup]] you could mess your main messaging system up, need patches installed locally, or simply put - screw it all up! - Oh. . . how us "Systems people" love users like you!

Hahaha - Just kidding!
