Hello,

I need to build an HTML form that will have roughly about 100 text fields. The user will fill out each field with a picture number, and then when he hits submit, it needs to create an XML file with one picture number per line. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial that can get me started on this. I know HTML, and Coldfusion.

Thanks in advance

Architectural clarification badly needed...

Do you expect the browser to create the XML document? If not, then the server will be going through all the name-value pairs returned by the HTML form and creating the XML document. Do you need instructions beyond those found here?

I definintely need instructions beyond those found here. I've never done anything similar to this. I wasn't aware that a browser could create the XML doc. I guess I would opt for having the server create it, since the name of the XML doc will be taken from a field within the form. Is there an advantage to having the browser create it? In either case, what is the next step?

Thank you very much for your help

First, if you want to get better advice, you might try the Coldfusion forum forum232.

My previous post had a link to a document which addresses creating XML pages using Coldfusion, starting on page 17. Does this document not help?
