I love moving from Outlook to Lotus notes! Sorry I have to keep telling myself that so I do not loose my mind. That being said I really do see where Lotus can do so much more but since I do not know how to do it I am currently hosed.

Help! I had lots of macros in Outlook to automate my tasks. I need to create “Agents” I guess now. I want to start with this one.

Given an Open or selected email message I would like to:
Step 1 - Copy into new
Step 2 – To Do
Step 3 – Category “Projects”
Step 4 – Return to Inbox after mail message has now been deleted from mail

Thanks this will be my first coding in a non VB environment

Do you have the Designer client installed ?
If not, you will be restricted to Formula agents and you'll have a heck of a time getting the field names right.

With Formula language, you can probably do most of what you have outlined. What version of Notes are you on ?

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

Thanks for the response!
Lotus 6.0
No designer installed. Is that a free tool?
I have had some additional thoughts since I first created this post.
My Thought was I could create folders for each action type I want. So I would have a folder that say “New To Do Meeting” and when I drag and drop an email object into it the agent would copy that email into a new to do task and categorize it as Meeting.

Any thoughts on how to code the movements and entry pieces? Thanks for your help!!!

So it's installed and it works ? You can access your database design with it ?

Be careful, you have the developer tool there. That means that you can make disastrous mistakes.
