Need help creating a .DLL project

Using VB 6.0 Pro
I have made tons of VB .exes, but when it comes to making a .DLL I'm lost.
What is the bare minimum I need to make a .DLL
I have tried to follow the example in MSDN but I could not even it it too work.

I would like to pass a few parameters to it.

When I was using VB5, it came with VB ONLINE Books which had a very lucid explanation and step-by-step examples on how to create DLLs.

You could also try Dan Applemans books.
