I'm new the the IP Office (really more of a CS1000 guy) and got roped into getting one going in our office. So far it's gone pretty well, and everyone is very happy with the added features but I'm having some real difficulty with ARS and outgoing/incoming call routing. Our incoming and outgoing calls are mostly using 5 POTS lines, with a SIP trunk to dial out for mobile twinning. The configuration is as follows:
Shortcode 9N to dial out on any one of 4 POTS trunks, 1,3,4,5 in Outgoing Line Group 0.
Shortcode 7N to dial out on POTS trunk 2 (This is for our manager who has a dedicated line.) Outgoing Line Group 1
Shortcode 8XXXXXXXXXXX to dial out over SIP for mobile twinning.
Incoming is set up so that lines 1,3,4 and 5 ring into an auto attendant, and line 2 is set to ring a specific extension, with voicemail turned off.
The problem is, when dialing 9 to call out normally, one out of every 6 times the user will end up going out via the SIP trunk, which is in a different line group. Additionally, the one line that rings direct to an extension without voicemail will ring for a period of time, and then somehow end up at the auto attendant. This is troublesome because the call is coming in from Google Voice, and ringing other phones that the user may answer from.
Any suggestions or pointers that could help this newbie out on the IPO?
