AT&T does have a analog modem with us to remote the flexware.

How can we setup this in IP Office?

connect and configure the lines using an ANALOG card.

Yes. I alreqfy did that. But we encountered 2rings then incompatible

You need to give more information. Tell us what you have configured and what is happening and we will see if we can help you fix the problem you are having.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Hi critchey. The did we are using for analog modem is an isdn trunk.

I also configutred the icr and using "."

I judt configured the analog line and icr.

You have some contradiction on information. Are the lines presented to the IP office as analog trunks or ISDN? If they are analog trunks you need to setup incoming call route based on the incoming groupID and you need to route to an actual destination if I remember right you can't use . for analog. Analog does not use DIDs.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

For the analog modem we connected the rj11 on the analog trunk and configure it on the line in ip office but the did we are using for analog modem is an isdn number.

If analog does not use a did, what destination should we use?

You set the destination to where you want the call to route(extension or group or shortcode or voicemail). By default all lines are pooled and would go to 200 main which would ring all phones. If you want each line to go to a different destination each line has to have a different incoming group ID and has to have a individual ICR with that groupID pointed at the the destination you want it to go to.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Yea thats problem the did number for the analog modem doesnt have the destination and we dont know what to put.

I am really confused. At & t wants to remote the analog modem and the client doesnt provide a destination for the did number for analog modem.

You could also build an analog extension for the modem, then configure a did number and program the incoming call route that points to the analog modem extension.

The analog modem is connected to the analog trunk, just to confirm. In the icr should i use the analog line group id of the modem, right?

Also what ars should i use? Our main ars is an isdn. Isdn or i will create an ars for analog? And the code is the did number and line group id is the analog outgoing group id

Then just call the telephone number of the trunk member and if connected correctly you should hear modem tone.

Oh sorry I missed the part you said it was for remote connection my bad. I have never setup analog for remote connection but under the first analog trunk there is an option for modem. I believe if it is set it will auto answer and would not need a destination... but again I have never set it up.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

What do you mean first abaog trunk? We are using ds combo card you mean the port 9?

Look in the help in manager it is actually pretty good.

Modem Enabled Default = Off
The first analog trunk in a control unit can be set to modem operation (V32 with V42 error correction). This allows the trunk to answer incoming modem calls and be used for system maintenance. When on, the trunk can only be used for analog modem calls. The default system short code *9000* can be used to toggle this setting.

For the IP500 ATM4U-V2 Trunk Card Modem, it is not required to switch the card's modem port on/off. The trunk card's V32 modem function can be accessed simply by routing a modem call to the RAS service's extension number. The modem call does not have to use the first analog trunk, instead the port remains available for voice calls.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I think the second one works for me.

In the RAS tab I put the extension nunber of the modem and in the ICR the destination is DialIn. And I get a tone, not sure if its fax or not. Lol

It is probably 56k modem tone it would sound similar to fax tone.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Yea and it stops for few secs like 20secs i think? I hope it works now.
