Some stuff was accidently deleted of a samba share from windows. Now I understand that this has nothign to do with windows as samba was on a linux box and the shares were just mounted on the windows box. Now that the stuf has been deleted, I was wondering if there was any way to recovre them. I have experienced this before unsucessfully.
Also, whats the best way to deal with tihs situation. Maybe this has to be done on windows such that nobody is able to delete anything at all???
Comments /Info please ??????????????

Also, how do I set up the samba configuration file such that stuff that is exported on windows can be manipulated in every other way possible except for deletion.
The samba file shares are exported to windows machines and each user has a folder which only s/he can delete. So, now I want to remove the option which gies the user the right to do so. Here's the share definition for the samba folder that is exported. Where do I set the (no-delete option for everyone).
