Okay, not sure how this works or if it can. I know how to add scr and scn lines to other keys on my 2616's but I have a user that requested a line be added to one of the keys. However, I must not have the right command when trying to chg the key.
I am trying to make key 01 9187774XXXXX. Is this possible? So, the user picks it up and hits that key and it dials that number. I don't think it can be because additional keys can only be numbers within my DN allotment. Right or wrong? If that is right, can I add a DN to that key and have that particular key autoforward to the users requested number.

Sorry if I have over complicated this procedure. Please let me know and any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to make that key an ADL 16 and let the user program it, or you can input the number for them.

so the following,

key 01 adl 16 918774XXXXX

Can you please explain how it works? If I program that key for that phone number, is that key using the DN of that phone to make the call being that the number is an autodial key.

Or...

KEY XX HOT D 11 918774XXXXX

Otherwise, ADL keys can be changed by the end user.

Okay, thanks for that information. Can you please give me instructions on how the user changes an ADL or point me to the correct forum post so I can learn more about it.

Thanks very much

Here is the procedure

1. Press the ADL key, it will begin to flash
2. Put in the digits via the dial pad, including a 9 if it's an outside call
3. Press the ADL key again

That's it, your done

Just a minor clarification to KCFLHRC's instructions. His instructions are correct, but it will depend on the current "state" of the phone.

To program an Autodial key, the phone must be in an idle state (no line key active) and the handset must not be picked up. In this state, the touching the autodial key initially places in the programming mode. Pressing it again tells the system you are done with programming the key.

If you have a dial-tone by either pressing Handsfree button, a line key, or picked up the handset, then pressing the Autodial key tells the system to dial the number stored with that key.

Okay, I guess I am confused about the ADL key. I am using a 2616 and I either don't have that key ADL or you are referring to key 01- key 06 and so on. However, when I press say key 02 it appears to do nothing. Okay, I think I may have figured it out. In order for it to work, you already have to have an ADL number on the key to be able to change it from the set. Please correct if wrong.

Thanks for the help and clarification of this. I have so much more to learn about this. It's going to take a lifetime.
