Need help adding a computer to Windows 2000 Server

I went through the steps of adding a new computer to an existing domain and received a confirmation that it was completed. I'm able to now log on to the domain but the desktop is blank. There were already multiple users set up on this server and when they log in on older computers they see their own customized desktop. What step did I fail to complete???

When you setup a computer as a stand alone you create a local profile. When you connect the computer to the server you create a new profile.

That profile is created when the user logs in, you do not do this.
