Need help accessing eServer console

I am new to AIX and am attempting to setup a new eServer P5 9110. Can I use one of the HMC ports on the back of the server for a console connection (like a Sunbox or Cisco switch)? If so what type of cable do I need? I tried connecting via a Cisco rollover cable connected to a laptop. I also tried connecting to it from a Cyclades console server with a CAT 5 straight through cable. I then put a Cyclades RJ45 Sun/Netra/Cisco adapter on the cable and could not access the console.

Try a regular Serial cable to the first serial port.

Use HyperTerminal I *think* 7 None 1 or 8 none 1
