Previously when I've worked with a SC-1000 I've programmed one of the Flex Keys as a Guest Services Key (Long time ago, Memory fades)

Now with a 5540, I'm trying to do this and I can't seem to find a way.

The Help files say to "Enter Guest Service mode and select a room."

It does not say How.

Hi kwbMitel

Is this what your looking for?.........

To program Firmkeys:
1. Press Function.
2. Press [Att Function].
3. Press [Firmkeys].
The display shows the current Firmkey programming.
4. Press the blank Firmkey (not the softkey) you want to program repeatedly until the desired
options appears at that location.
For example, to program the Phone Book option to the third Firmkey from the left, continue
pressing that key until [Phonebook] appears at the [F3> location on the display.
5. Press [Save].
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to program the next firmkey.
7. Press [Exit].

MrMitel - Thanks for that.

I was actually helping someone else that I trust to try things like that. Very embarrassing that he didn't.

That being said, I vaguely remember having this issue myself.

Regardless, you provided the corrrect answer (pressing the key more than once) Star for you.

Keep in mind if you establish a Hospitality cluster, that the 5540 can no longer be used to access quest services.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Yes, I noticed that Loopylou in my reading

Thanks for the reminder anyway

@loopylou & kwbMitel is this if using 'clustered hospitality'? or if you have 2 hotels in a cluster with individual PMS etc?

Using Clustered Hospitality creates limitations

Clustering 2 Hotels does not.

yep there is clustering and there is hospitality clustering. Hospitality clustering adds the added benefit that a single PMS link can control the cluster. The PMS check in/check out messages get propagated across the hospitaliy cluster to the correct 3300.
