Using Exchange on SBS 2003. We collect POP3 mail from our ISP using POPBeamer which directs it to the proper Exchange mailbox. Clients are using Outlook 2007.

When Exchange User A sends a message to Exchange User B, the FROM address that Exchange user B sees is the User A's Exchange address, not User A's POP3 address. Of course, when User B replies to the message, it uses User A's Exchange address instead of User A's POP3 address.

I have set each user's address book to use the recipient's POP3 addresses, which works fine when sending a new message but not when they reply or forward, for the above reasons.

We need the FROM and REPLY-TO addresses to be User A's POP3 address. Is there any way to prevent Exchange from converting the address?

Well, ideally, you wouldn't use POP3 with an Exchange environment. Is there a technical need to maintain that antiquated method?

There are third party products that allow you to pick which address they are coming from. It's been discussed here many times, and should be available via search.

I agree on this backward request but the customer has one important Blackberry user and they do not want to buy any server add-on software to handle the Blackberry routing for just one user.

So the workaround I came up with is for the BB user to access his POP3 mailbox directly with the Blackberry. The BB leaves the message on the POP server so Exchange gets it too, and vice-versa.

It's fine when he converses with outside users, but when an internal Exchange user was one of the recipients of a message and they forward or reply back to the BB user, it does not get to him on the BB because his address was converted to the internal address. That's why I need his FROM address to be a POP3 address.

Can you point me to a post or tell me what search words to use? I can't find any.

They don't need to. Among the options are Blackberry Internet Service, and the 3rd party EAS client for the Blackberry device.

Right, both of those were nixed along with the server solutions available. I need to work on the FROM address issue but am not sure where to look. Anybody?
