We have a payroll service that is sloppy and only need to process a few checks, with full control. However, no one has any experience with PT payroll. I set everything up but I would like to configure the tax formulas manually. Are there any teaching resources? The user guide is very vague about how to do the formulas.

Your best bet is to subscribe to the Peachtree Tax Service. It's only about $200 and worth every penny since Peachtree has the liability if the tax calculations are wrong. It will save you money in the long run.
