While following the excellent instructions that Truusvlugindewind posted (in thread178-1372625), I goofed on one of my databases: I thought that I was in the 9.1 window when I did a "restore...redirect" on one of the 8.2 dump files.
Unfortunately, I was in the 8.2 window when I did the "restore...redirect"...and the result was the corruption of that one database and its containers on the old (8.2) instance. (I successfully did a "restore...redirect" of that database on the new 9.1 instance.)
Can someone please advise me of the code to correct my mistake (by resurrecting the corrupted db on the 8.2 instance)? My intuition says I must:
1) drop the corrupted database and container(s), then
2) do a "restore...redirect" (as I did on the 9.1 instance)
Is this correct? If so, what is the code for Step 1? If not, what should I do instead?
Thanks,
Mufasa
