Any suggestions on what model to pick up? My network has 80hosts, 2 Ip's are to be protected (servers), T1 Internet access. The firewall is required to split 2 segments (LAN/servers),support 80 concurrent sessions, 2Mbps throughput and High Availability.

thank you!

No NAT/PAT is required.

thank you.

If your not experienced with Check Point already, I find the learning curve to be tough. We are switching over to Netscreen, so far so good.

I know you are definetly right, nevertheless the checkpoint option has been requested.

Would an IP130 be enough?

best regards,

looking at its specs it supports 3 segments (internal external and DMZ)
it has a firewall throughput of 102 Mbps (take what you will from this)
if you are wanting ids running this drops to 10mbps

and supports nokia clustering.

remember you will need a CP licence on top of the IP130 cost

We use 530's as our enforcement modules, and we have approx 600 nodes, 20 VPN (site to site) and approx 15 websites and they are under no stain. I think the IP330 will give you some room for growth. If you want to have High Availibity (ie.VRRP) you will need a sync cable, we use the ethernet, also if you use Nokia's IPSO VRRP then you don't need the CP High Availablility licence and just using the VRRP works fine, we have had a fail over during business hours and we didn't get a single phone call.
