I'm in the process of setting up our office to accept faxes via computer rather than the fax machine. I have a small (10 computer) setup. All workstations are running W2K and the server is running Win2K Small Business Server. The main goal behind the switch is to gain the ability to digitally archive all incoming correspondence and allow people to fax from their desktop. The dilemma I have is I want all faxes to be forwarded to our receptionist’s desktop so she can send them to the intended recipient. If the receptionist is not in (or her computer is not on) I want the faxes to be sent to a second computer. Overnight I would like the faxes to be stored on the server so that the 1st person in, in the morning can retrieve them. I would also like the program to be as user friendly as possible.
Affordability is a major concern but we are willing to spend a little money if the program will do what we need it to do. After searching previous posts I found a mention to Hylafax which looks better than Winfax but I'm not sure if it can do everything I want it to. Anybody have any experience with Hylafax? Is there a better "cheap" program out there?
Your input is greatly appreciated.
