I have my first SIP trunk, the only trouble I am having is; A call routed from an extension on our Nortel CS1000 over the QSIG PRI to CUCM 8.5 to our new SIP trunk isn't passing DTMF from the Nortel station out the SIP trunk. The same Nortel extension over the QSIG PRI to CUCM passes DTMF, and extensions on CUCM pass DTMF out the SIP.
I just can't get the DTMF traveling across the QSIG to the SIP to go out so we can make selections on an auto attendant or voicemail we might access. Any suggestions appreciated

Correction....
The Cisco phones do pass DTMF out the SIP.
The QSIG does not pass DTMF audibly. Nortel to Cisco, or Cisco to Nortel will not produce DTMF over the handset.

Is it not passing it or is it just out of band? It sounds like you might need to change some of the DTMF signaling settings. In band is the audio you hear, out of band is a packet it sends along to say hey they pressed a key. RFC2833 is the spec on it.

Problem solved.
Over the weekend when I could take the QSIG down, I was able to get it working.
RyanEOD was right in that it was a DTMF signaling setting.
I was looking at RFC2833, when I saw the Type of DTMF Relay prompt in the gateway configuration on the CUCM side.
I tested each of the 5 settings, and NSE-GW cleared up my problem.

Awesome, glad you got it fixed!! I knew it had something to do with that setting, just not sure which one it was!
