Need driver: HPPAPPLINK.dll

I have an HP scanjet. When Win98 boots, I get an error message about missing driver file:
HPPAPPLINK.DLL

Needless to say, HP's website only teases: it LOOKS like it will be helpful, but it only offers hours of tail-chasing fun and no driver... Help!

Have you re-installed the scanner software? This isn't a driver. It's a direct link library file and should be in the scanner software disk that came with the scanner. Jim

The only thing I've found about this .dll is in reference to HP LaserJet printer 3200. (And no solution there either) Jim
