need documentation explaining join files

Can someone point me to a good source of documentation that thoroughly explains how to use join files in many-to-many relationships? The manuals I have don't give enough description and examples, etc.

I've been using Access for years to create relational databases and agree with the complaints about FM in the thread

I find that once you get beyond simple one-to-many relationships you have to have join files and it all becomes very convoluted.
