Some where I installed some thing that replaced some DLLs.

I get a message now when I try certain things.

INCORRECT MFC DLL VERSION INSTALLED WITH SYSTEM.
MIN REQUIRED MFC SP4DLLs

My system is a gateway laptop XP Home Edition 2002 SP2

The system came with no CD, the system CD backup is on drive D:

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Computer thought: I teach a lot of programming so I can learn. You can never learn it all.

There are several types of MFC dlls so knowing the actual out of date one is a bit hard. They may be found in the Application's program folder or in the System32 folder.

Probably the easiest way to fix it might be by running sfc /scannow from the Start Run box and let the System File Checker handle it.

Have a look here too.
