Hello,
I'm a newbie to DirectX looking for some help. I wanted to use DirectX8 SDK, but since its no more available, I have installed DirectX 9 SDK (Feb 2005) and learning some basic tutorials on DirectX 8. To use DirectX 8 calls, I need to have d3d8.h, d3dx8.h and probably other header and library files.
Can you let me know what other files are required to run DirectX 8 calls? Also any pointers/links, from where I can download these files, will be highly helpful.

thx

I'm not sure, but tutorials suck. Get a book on DirectX 9 -- they're not too expensive. The new SDK distributions come with a lot of cool stuff. (If you ever intend on using .x meshes then the old SDK isn't going to be fun.)
