Need debugging/trace method for procmail/postfix

I think this is more of a procmail issue then postfix but I need some one to tell me how to debug procmail/postfix problems.

I have configured procmail on my OS X server. I followed the article written by Jason Deraleau (

for setting up procmail/postfix.

Since it was all copy and paste, plus I am a procmail/postfix neophite and, of course, it doesn't work for me, I don't know how to debug this. Is there a standard place postfix and/or procmail keeps a log? Are there any debugging tools for tracing messages (my problem is it appears postfix passes the message to procmail but procmail never gets the processed message back to cyrus for delivery). Apple documentation on this is a bit lacking.

Could someone help be get going in the right direction on this? TIA.
