Hello,

Can anyone tell us how to make check boxes appear on MS Word documents when data is created and produced from Access table.

When we use create a document in Word using Access for the source data everything comes over except the checkboxes. Sometimes they come over as true or false rather than a true checkbox.

Any help will be appreciated.

Can't be done.
The checkbox is an internal Access display format and so can't be exported.
You would need to do some coding in Word to present the values as a checkbox or else export a wingding character which shows a ticked or unticked box.

Thanks for your reply lupins46.

Whatever solution that I use must be automatic. If I try to do coding in Word or use wingding characters, if seems that it may not be automatic. I may be wrong in this thinking.

I may have to change the fields from yes/no (checkboxes) to three character fields and actually type YES or NO in the fields. This will not look as nice but it will be automatic in that the results will be taken from the table and recorded directly into the Word document.
