Need: Business messenger with role permissions

Ok, here is my question, we are looking for a business messenger with role permissions. We have a bunch of home based people. What we would like to avoid is a day long private chat fest when they are supposed to be working. Is it possible to set it up so the only people they can chat with are the supervisory and processing staff and none of their other co-workers?

I don't see this immediately in any of the existing plugins, but if any IM service is capable of this kind of contol, I'd bet on Spark + OpenFire. Have a look through their community forums. A quick search looks like 'privacy lists' might do what you want.

Try BigAnt Business Messenger, it has the Role feature to restrict users from being talk with other contacts.
