I need a bios update for my Microstar 6191 motherboard.

I have tried the MSI live update 2 program but i cannnot find a bios upgrade for my motherboard. I need 2 flash the bios because i have bought some new SDRAM PC133 but it does not work with my comptuer, it works on my other computer though. Other PC133 ram works on my computer but i cannot get a refund becasuse the ram is fine.

Thanx the bios updated successfully however it did not make the motherboard recognise my ram so the PC still crashes when i turn it on with the ram in it.
Is there a way i could make the ram work?

"Other PC133 ram works on my computer"

Now are you referring to the computer you just flashed the BIOS on? Are you sure that it's PC133Mhz? All the information I've come across on that motherboard stated it only supports PC100Mhz. If that's the case<which I strongly believe the board just won't handle the speed>, I would take it back to where you purchased it and see if they will trade it for some PC100Mhz.

The comptuer i was refering to is my old computer which i have flashed the bios on. I am sure it was PC133 ram but i think it just ran at PC100 speed. Maybe this new make of ram cant run at this speed for some reason (most can apparantly). I will try and replace it for either a different make or some PC100 ram.

Yeah...I would recommend getting replacement RAM. Find out for sure if that memory you tried before was definetly PC133 before getting the replacement.

Keep us informed as to your situation...
