I am seriously thinking about taking up oracle courses in technical school. I have no advanced computer knowledge, all i know is, i like the money that people with oracle certifications make. I have been reading on the web that these people make between $70 and $100,000 a year. Can anyone tell me exactly what classes i would have to take and what the job market looks like in this field. I would also appreciate any information on exactly what the oracle field deals with. I have been told that it is mainly a data base type of field. I have been reading that oracle is the best certification to attain. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

4RINGS--The Oracle Corp and New Horizons give the classes and exams that you need for certification, there are some others but I don't think they hold the wieght that these companies do. Oracle is a database programming,e-business, datawarehousing package which includes programming in PL/Sql, Oracle Developer, Oracle Report Writer and the like. Not having advanced computer knowledge will put you in a bind but if your willing and able the market looks to be really good most of the time. Go to some of the headhunter sites and search for Oracle jobs and you will see
