Need BE SBS 8.6

I have a SBS2000 SBS server. I was told by Seagate Support that my only option for backing up this server is BE SBS V8.6.

I have two questions:

1. I want to download an Eval copy of this software. I can not find anything on Veritas' site to do that. Can anyone tell me where I can download this from.

2. If this program works for me I will want to find a place to purchase this as cheeply as possible. Can anyone give me some good sources for this. Also, do you know if there are competitive upgrades available. I have an unused copy of Arcserve 6.5 available to see this company to use as an to use in an upgrade.

The evaluation is available for download from the veritas website, the link to the download option is

just click on the downloads link on the page.

When you have downloaded and installed, you can use the programs and options for 60 days, then you will need a licence for continued use. Details on how to get these are on the veritas website (although it's harder to find than it once was).

you're all over the place!

my understanding is that all you need to do is to download and install the current version of Backup Exec from Veritas. Since you don't have a registration/serial# -- it will only function for 60 days.
