I have several years of experience with networking in general, but I don't have any experience or training with routers. Are there any internet sites where I can get some basic familiarity with router configuration and operation. I was recently hired as a Systems Administrator with the understanding that I don't have any experience with routers, but since we have Cisco Routers in our network, I need to know more about how they are connected and how they work in relation to the rest of the network. We have a T1 line and an ISDN (backup)connection between our main plant and a second plant about four miles away. Inventory and Time Clock information is passed from the second plant to our UNIX and WinNT Servers at the main plant over the T1 line and the ISDN works as a backup if the T1 goes down. Are there any known technical forums or sites that post general information like this?
Thanks for input

Cisco.com search on point to point or Frame-relay configurations . ISDN backups can also be located there . Good Luck .

p.s. You may also want to visit Amazon.com and pick up a few Cisco books . The ICND interconnecting cisco network devices will set you in the right direction . [sig][/sig]
