need backup help

Hi,
I am running a 4 DDS tape backup, with it set for normal, daily backup. It is a veritas system, that came installed in the small business server bundle. I need to ascertain how to backup emails. Also I have come in(since last week) to find, the tape ejected and the error message saying that backup did not complete, because media was full. There is no way, we are exceeding the max. on the tape.

Maybe I should just start over and create a new back-up schedule all together, but not sure how to go about it.

Any ideas?

Why is it impossible that you did not fill the tape. There are time when one thinks the data on the drive gets backed up only a single time. For instance, in Veritas BE you can select the "drive" to get backed up and also any databases with their corresponding agent, like agent for SQL or Agent for Oracle, or Agent for Lotus Notes, etc. and then the databases get backed up again. Just something to keep in mind. I have seen it double the size of the backups when one is not aware that they have chosen to back up the data in two different ways.
