Need Awk for Windows - Unfortunately

Anyone know wher I can download a copy. I prefer working in Solaris, but need to do this one on a Windows machine.

Do a search for gawk.exe and you should find several sites with a windows version.

I too like Solaris, but found sometimes I needed to do work at home on Windows. I have MKS Toolkit. It is very functional like Solaris. Includes awk, sed, egrep, grep, uniq, etc. I like MKS very much. Check out the company site at

http://www.mks.com.

If you do a lot of developing you might want to look at their "developers" version. I hope this helps.

If you are limited for hard drive space then use the single files you can get for Windows.

Try CygWin better.... it's free and includes many other tools, like grep, cut, etc
