Hi, I need to find an inexpensive bar code reader for my PC. Does anyone know where I can find one for under $50? Has anyone used a modified Cue Cat as a bar code reader? It was an suggestion from someone but I dont know how reliable it would be. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ginger

Hi.

You should be able to find a keyboard wedge CCD Scanner for about $99.
You can also look at and check their buyers guide.

Or I can get you one for $99 if you need one.

Email: ajfedde@pacbell.net

Hope that helps!

Hi, thanks for the help. I went ahead an took a chance with buying a modified cuecat on ebay. It was $12 with shipping and it works perfectly. I am curious what it's "life expectancy" is but it got me out of a tight spot so it's definetly earned it's $12.
