Hi,

I would really appreciat it if someone could help me out here. I'm looking for code example to create a a form with a 1-to-many relationship. The wizards in VFP create such a form, but there is that annoying popup windows that asks if you want to add the record to the parent or child table.

Do you have to have two sets of add record buttons for the parent and child table? Or do they have a right click popup menu to add records to the grid. How do most people handle this type of form?

Thanks in advance

I have two buttons - "Add new customer" and "Add invoice for this customer". Both bring up a new form where the user can enter the data. I don't use right-click because the users like to keep their hands on the keyboard.

The grid only shows the four crucial data items for each invoice so I have to give the user a larger form to be able to accept all the other fields.

The main form doesn't show all the information for the customer so the "Add customer" button also brings up a new form.

Bear in mind that this is an application where data entry is a minor part of the work. Your situation might be different.
