I'm intending to install sp2 on win sbs 2003 this weekend
and i would like your advice.
I have read that installing sp2 in sbs 2003 causes a lot of network issues including vpn, nat, outlook clients not connecting, rpc erros...etc
Also read that the problem arises from having network cards that are incopatible with ndis 5.2 or higher.
The network cards should have some features like RSS (Receive Side Scaling), Chimney Offload, NetDMA, etc.
I have an hp server Proliant ML370 G4 with an HP NC7781 Gigabit server adapter for internal connections.
And a Realtek RTL 8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC for external connections
One of my question is:
Should I replace the Realtek card for a Gigabit Server Adapter?
Another question is:
How can i check the NDIS version of the cards
Any other advice you give me would be enourmouly appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Aldi
